Nathan Carlson

About the President

With more than 30 years of experience, Nathan Carlson is recognized as a leader in the retirement industry.  He is known for his high level of expertise and his keen ability to share his knowledge with clients in an understandable and practicable manner.

Nathan first joined Retirement Plan Services, Inc. (RPS) in 1986 to design database software for non-qualified compensation plans.  Two years later he took over the company and grew it to one of the region’s most progressive administration companies serving companies of all sizes from 10 to 42,000 employees.

Nathan has earned the professional designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies.  He also holds several American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) credentials including Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) and Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA).  He is a member of the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators and is also a noted qualified plan speaker and lecturer.

Nathan received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver.  He also has his Bachelor of Music Education from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Nathan still enjoys exercising his creative side by playing music, woodworking and crafting inventive solutions to complex retirement needs.
